Mostly residential; a neighborhood that used to be mostly Polish and German. Now it's primarily African-American. Recent downturns in the economy have hit this area hard.

Well-known for its dense Irish-American population (though with other ethnic groups represented as well), South Buffalo was once a bustling working-class district. The de-industrialization of the city has caused poverty and crime to become a serious issue here.

A traditional haven for immigrant groups; historically, Italians and Sicilians. Nowadays, however, this low-income area is home to immigrants from all over the world.
